| FAQs What should we wear? For group portraits, we recommend that everyone dress in the same colors. For example, you might all wear white shirts and khaki pants. Long sleeves are the most flattering, and clothes with simple timeless designs are the best. Keeping it simple will allow the focus to be on the subjects, and not what they are wearing. Avoid any loud colors or busy patterns. Its usually NOT a good idea to try a new hairstyle on the day of your portrait. Keep it simple; stick to what you know; and we'll take care of the rest. How many outfit changes are we allowed? As many as your session has time for. We'll do our part to keep the shoot moving at a timely pace, so the more prepared you are the better. Should I bring anything with me? Yes! If you have children or pets is a TERRIFIC idea to bring along any favorite toys or snacks. Picture day is a perfect opportunity to capture them with a beloved toy. With children and pets (or furry children as we like to call them) portraits require a little extra finesse. We will take frequent short breaks to take a moment to play or have a snack as needed. This is a necessity to keep us all sane and happy. Is there a limit on how many people per session? Absolutely NOT! You are encouraged to bring in the whole family. Large group portraits are a treasure to have, and oftentimes the only ones you see are only taken at weddings. We want to capture your life, and nothing beats a big formal picture of your whole family. One thing to keep in mind with large groups: it takes a little more time to arrange and shoot. For groups larger than 10 people, I recommend booking a separate session solely for group pictures and then adding additional hour sessions for individual family photos. What if my session runs long? For portrait sessions, two hours are included in the session fee. For weddings, the time depends upon your package. In either case, additional hours can be purchased. When is payment due? For Portraits and Non-wedding Events: Your session fee is due at the time of booking. Cancellations at least two weeks prior to your session will be fully refunded. Cancellations less than two weeks before your session will be partially refunded. Cancellations less than 48 hours before your session and No- shows will not be refunded. For weddings: 50% of your package total is due at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due at the time of service. Cancellations 30 days prior to the event date will be fully refunded. Cancellations more than 14 days prior to the event will be partially refunded. All deposits will be forfeited on cancellations less than 14 days prior to the event. How soon will we see the online proofs? Turnaround time is typically 2 weeks. Still have questions? Ask us now! |
